The private ward and the Insel Premium Station provide patients with top-notch medical care and luxurious amenities.
What requirements did the Inselspital Bern have, and how were they met?
When evaluating medical keyboards and mice, the focus was on meeting the high demands of clinical daily routines and providing robust and user-friendly input systems for healthcare professionals. Hygiene is of greatest importance in hospitals.
Traditional keyboards and mice do not meet expectations as they are difficult to clean and can become breeding grounds for germs, posing a significant risk to patients and staff.

Applications and Experiences
Currently, over 1000 Purekeys keyboards and mice are in use in various areas of the Inselspital, including anesthesiology and most of the laboratory. The devices are used in both the private ward and the Insel Premium Station, as reported by a nursing staff member. The keyboards and mice are used during patient visits and are regularly disinfected after each extended use to ensure compliance with hygiene regulations for the next user.
Throughout the entire project, from initial contact to final product delivery, the proactive collaboration with Provicon and their support throughout the process was excellent.
